FOR WALKERS:
Penpoll is a perfect base for walking in this truly beautiful
part of Cornwall.
Directly from the garden gate, you are walking
in glorious scenery on numerous footpaths, and these link into
some stunning stretches of the
National Trust’s coastal paths.
Just to mention a few highlights - the South West Coast Path
from Fowey to Polkerris, or Boddinick to Polperro; The Saint’s
Way footpath from Readymoney Cove; The Hall Walk from Boddinick
to Point Pill; the Fowey-Polruan Circular route, or nothing
quite beats walking through the beautiful Ethy beech woods (The
wild Woods in Kenneth Grahame’s Wind in the Willows), which hug
the river around Lerryn to the breathtaking riverside 15th
Century church at St Winnow. All of these, and more, are within
striking distance of Penpoll, (less than 10 minutes drive) so
you can choose to leave your car in the many National Trust car
parks, or get a taxi back home at the end of your walk.

Horse riding for all abilities in stunning countryside is

GOLF TENNIS &
SWIMMING
The nearest golf
course is at Lostwithiel Golf Club, which has an 18 hole course
amid lovely countryside. There are also tennis courts and an
indoor pool to keep non golfing members of the family happy.
